What is the goal?
Get a hand worth more than the dealer's without passing 21. Number cards count their number, face cards count ten, and an ace counts one or eleven, whichever helps. A first two-card total of 21 is a blackjack, which typically pays more than an ordinary win.
If you pass 21 you lose at once, even if the dealer would later bust.
What are your choices?
